Variety Testing
Breeders develop new varieties. We examine those varieties for national registration or Plant Breeders' Rights.
Inspections
We inspect plant material for quality, diseases and pests, paying attention to administration, company hygiene, our own quality checks and product traceability.
Import & Export
Material that leaves or enters the EU is inspected by Naktuinbouw or the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). In this way, horticultural entrepreneurs can trade their material all over the world in a healthy way.

Naktuinbouw (the Netherlands Inspection Service for Horticulture) promotes and monitors the quality of products, processes and production chains in the horticultural sector. The focus is on propagating material (seed and planting materials). Naktuinbouw is an Autonomous Public Body regulated by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature.
We research varieties, test and inspect seed and plant material and test for diseases and pests. This allows horticultural entrepreneurs to trade their plant material all over the world. Together with companies, organizations and governments - nationally and internationally - we share knowledge to learn and innovate.
