The Naktuinbouw Elite certificate confirms a higher quality level of your product. This may apply to an entire lot, or to individual plants. The certificate provides assurance of disease free and growth, giving you higher production and yield figures.
To participate in Naktuinbouw Elite, you enter into an agreement with Naktuinbouw. If your company complies with the requirements and conditions, you may trade propagating material or perform tissue culture activities in the framework of the Naktuinbouw Elite quality-plus system.
Naktuinbouw Elite contains the following modules:
Ornamental plants
- Petunia, Verbena, Lobelia, Dahlia, Osteospermum, Impatiens and a
large number of bedding plants - Perennials (including Astilbe, Hosta, Heuchera)
- Dianthus (carnation)
- Anthurium
- Begonia
- Chrysanthemum (chrysanthemum)
- Pelargonium (geranium)
- Rosa (rootstocks for greenhouse roses)
Pome Fruit
- Fruit trees
- Fruit tree rootstocks
Softfruit
- Fragaria
- Rubus (Raspberry and Blackberry)
Conditions
The requirements and conditions to be fulfilled by participants in Naktuinbouw Elite are listed in the Regulations. The strict requirements relate to the quality and health of the propagating material. Laboratory tests are often required to determine whether all criteria have been met. When assessing certified material, particular attention is paid to trueness to variety, varietal purity, origin, health (free of viruses, fungi, bacteria or nematodes) and quality.
Naktuinbouw Elite has a generic basis. In addition, there are specific requirements for the various modules. You can read what applies in the regulations for each module:
