Laboratory registrations can no longer be changed to urgent

As of January 1, 2026, regular samples can no longer be converted to urgent after registration.

Earlier this year, a temporary measure was introduced that prevented regular requests from being converted to urgent. To improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times for all requests, this measure will now become permanent.

Why does this change?

Due to the current large workload, changing regular samples to urgent takes a lot of extra time. We want to use this time for our primary process: the careful and timely processing of all samples. Changing registrations also disrupts planning and ultimately slows down the workflow for everyone.

What does this mean?

Regular registrations remain regular
Urgent requests must be submitted as urgent from the start
