Determining isolates

When there is consensus on using a set of differentials, Naktuinbouw can determine isolates.

Naktuinbouw can determine isolates from:

Bremia lactucae on lettuce
Peronospora effusa on spinach
Plasmodiophora brassicae on Brassica oleracea

Seeds from these differential sets are also available at Naktuinbouw. Possibilities exist for other pathogens too. We base this as much as possible on information about differentials through the website of the International Seed Federation.

For determination of an isolate, we need spores or sporulating material. It is often useful to also provide the name of the variety on which the isolate was found.
