Validation and Quality monitoring

Validation is a toll to ensure the quality of laboratory tests.
How reliable is a test? Can you guarantee the quality of your analyses? How do you minimize risks? 

In this seminar, we will delve into the concept of validation and its importance in the evaluation of protocols. You will gain insight into analyzing and assessing results and will be provided with tools for drafting a validation report. 

After this seminar, participants will have gained insight into planning, conducting, and reporting validation studies. Opportunities for quality assurance of tests will also be discussed.

Target group

The seminar is intended for laboratory staff in the plant sector. The focus is on (seed) health tests. A higher professional education background or relevant practical experience is preferred. 

Location and Language

Location: Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen
Language: Presentations and reference materials are in English. The language of instruction will be determined based on the registrations received (English or Dutch).

Training topics 

Validation:

• Learn more about what a validation study entails and which guidelines can be used. 
• Determing the performance characteristics of a method 
• Practical examples 

Quality monitoring:

• Quality assurance: 1st and 2nd line controls 
• Control charts
• Proficiency testing 

Short theoretical introduction are alternated with practical examples, assignments, and discussions.
