Consequences of the marketing of vegetable and agricultural crops after Brexit

News publication date: 28 December 2017

A consequence of the Brexit is that varieties of vegetable and agricultural crops that have only been placed on the Common Catalog via the National List of the United Kingdom (UK) are removed. What do you have to do to preserve the marketing position of your variety/varieties?

If you wish to keep growing vegetable and agricultural varieties within the EU, the variety must be admitted to one of the (remaining) EU member states before 30 March 2019.
You can submit your application for admission in the Netherlands until 1 February 2019 via the Board for Plant Varieties.
