Naktuinbouw monitors the production of propagating plantmaterial. As an independent organisation Naktuinbouw carries out supervision and inspections as prescribed in European directives and Dutch legislation ("Zaaizaad en Plantgoedwet"; seed and plant material act). The Naktuinbouw inspectors inspect nurseries, the production process and the material and they issue documents required for trade. The material can be traded when it satisfies the requirements. If the material does not satisfy the relevant requirements, Naktuinbouw ensures that this material will not be traded. This so-called "standard quality control" enables producers of propagating material to guarantee standard quality (EC quality/CAC). In addition to carrying out the mandatory "standard quality control", Naktuinbouw also issues certificates to propagators who like to be awarded for the high level of care and attention for their products. Naktuinbouw gives top quality a face with various quality-plus-systems.
